On 15 May 2019, Deloitte hosted an engaging and interactive evening on “Integrated Patient Engagement in Today’s Digital Environment”.
Changes in technology and the healthcare ecosystem have influenced the patient’s role in decision making and reshaping their expectations from the role of healthcare companies.
Our panel was moderated by Jonathan Fox, life sciences digital strategy leader, Deloitte Services LP, with our panel consisting of three key leaders in the digital patient engagement space who provided critical insights and best practices in improving patient engagement. The panel included Abby Fischer, director, U.S. customer experience lead, strategy and ops, Biogen; Sara Loud, chief operating offier, Accelerated Cure Project; and Jasmine Benger, CISCRP, research services, senior project manager.
A key insight that was discussed was around engaging patient and caregivers on “their own time”, which is critically important as patients and those impacted in their lives to have access to information when and how they want it. Hence the important impact digital interaction and engagement in driving patient demand, adherence and overall health management.
